Is this on a phone? I don't see the option for desktop. Also for others who might see this, there's a setting you can turn on to require alt text so it reminds you to use it.

In the accessibility settings you can turn on require alt text to remind you to use it, it helps those who need a screenreader, and it helps those of us who mute names and words so we don't have to see these dudes.

You showed this setting in an image but set to off. For a more active timeline, turn this setting on to see occasional posts from the feeds you follow:

Bluesky tip: Once you add some #feeds make sure to let occasional posts from those feeds show up on your main timeline. Go to Settings/Following Feed Preferences and turn on "Show posts from My Feeds."

Moderation settings, and mute hashtags by clicking on them, but best way is to subscribe to mute/block lists.
