It proves to me that blood make you related, not necessarily family. Found family can love you deeper and unconditionally. We are humans and humans are pack animals, not just desiring, but requiring us to be communal. We need loving people in our lives. Even if they’re not blood relatives.

Yes, I’m out to most of my family and the friends who are true loved ones. The people I expected to disown or ghost me are out of my life by their choice. It’s not my fault they are ignorantly denying our existence.

Yes, it reduced the number of people I had to interact with and allows me to be selective on who continues to be in my life. It’s liberating to know I’m in charge of my day without having to worry about income or retribution for just being who I’ve always known myself to be.

Yes it is. Retirement has allowed me to transition with less stress and explanation of my life.

So true. I’ve been ghosted by most of my friends for coming out. My sister closest to me in age, has band me from any family gatherings she has control over.

I’m catching unbelievable flack from my so called friends because I posted a picture comparing the KKK hood to the Tactical Black Mask of ICE. Law enforcement in America should not be wearing masks, and making sweeping roundups of people based on their brown skin.
