It's annoying that AI is being jammed into a million things unnecessarily when doing something like crawling a database of First-tier and Upper Tribunal judgments to find all deport appeals allowed under A3 ECHR is something it could do quite easily

The kind of country I would most like to live in is one where Jenrick would feel more comfortable living in exile, under a new identity, doing a manual job in an isolated rural area where there's less chance he'll be recognized & pelted with rotten fruit

Honestly, wtf is this nonsense? It sounds like he's going to challenge farage to romantic poetry competition in front of his beloved

"Reveal" to whom? Who was this information kept secret from previously? The whole thing is trying to suggest some nefariouis conspiracy by shadowy Jewish financiers to tell detained migrants things they supposedly shouldn't know (i.e. that they have a right to ask for release). Rank article.

Feels a bit depressing that the First-tier Tribunal is including this as a specific direction in immigration appeals now.

Something pathetic about the British state saying it cannot openly acknowledge the obligations it has to relocate and protect people who worked with it in Afghanistan becuase doing so might rile up racists at home

Interesting that Brazil now seems to be a favoured country for illustrating Labour's toughness on immigration. Because it's seen as more European? Don't think journalists would blithely imply concerns about inhuman prison conditions are ridiculous in this way for eg India but I may be wrong

It feels like an extra awful layer on top of an already very awful event to have the BBC put this information up about the suspect's race & nationality. Seems to be a pleading unsubtle subtext of "please don't riot! It's a white guy! Let the police deal with him!"

In what possible way can "Right wing Labour MPs are lobbying their leader to be more cunty on immigration to outflank Farage" - something which has been ongoing for circa 20 years - be considered an exclusive?

New Home Office guidance on revocation of refugee status says that the HO will no longer get the UNHCR's views on revocation in individual cases. I would be more angry about this but I don't think I've had a single case where the UNHCR's input did anything to change the HO's position - has anyone?
