i've been preparing myself to eat the cost of this stupid tariff but.. shipping itself is more than expected, and also i was not ready for yostar to actually release something this heavy on translation this soon after announcing it

i would probably try to set up some smaller rewards... idk... if someone contributes they can ask me about a section of the book and i'll photograph/scan parts of it for them... so even if we don't get the full amount back, i'll still share it with yall in some form.

(i also really wanted to get the Arknights Official Artworks Vol.2, but that bumps the shipping + tariff cost up to ~$250... in addition to the $60 for the book itself.)

(the goal also depends on how my little group works out splitting the cost... but at minimum, it'd be ~$150)

if I were to set up an incentive to track all subs, bits, tips, etc., and if I'm able to get ~$200 (shipping + tariffs) by the time the book ships (estimated Feb 2026).... I'll do a handcam stream where we go through it together? MMICA's scientist will stream?
