Not sure there was ever much of a mask.... but thank you for sharing this. These "leaders" are truly abhorrent. Some might even say deplorable.

OMG I've thought all of these things recently. I know someone who went to vote during the election (down ballot taxes I guess), didn't vote for Trump but couldn't vote for Kamala. She is just too radical, don't you think? 🤬 Like whatever we're currently experiencing is just so normal.

I didn't read the article but this title is weak. Pushing the boundaries? I feel like celebrities "push the boundaries" with their fashion choices at the Oscars. Djt and rfk are destroying the public health infrastructure that keeps Americans alive.

What an embarrassment! Our federal government could pay for local DC residents to do "trash" duty. The expense (taxpayer dollars) of this charade is obscene. Removing Americans from their families to pick up trash in DC - and paying all the associated costs! Republicans - you should be embarrassed!

correction: if we CONTINUE to live under a cruel fascist regime. (We already live under a cruel fascist regime.) I have middle school aged kids and I am trying really hard to prepare them for life outside the US. They need to see that the US may not ever go back to being a humane/democratic country.

US has always been flawed, but how TF did we get here? celebrating cruelty... abandoning any semblance of compassion about people in need. A sick and sad moment. I just hope we can recover from this mess.

Did he have health insurance? Starting from zero often means having no health insurance - or expensive health insurance. Many people, if faced with serious health issues like him, would die or end up with mountains of debt. Sounds like he maintained a level of privilege despite starting from zero?

I have a stupid question. Do some/most members of the national guard have other full-time jobs? Jobs that they had to leave temporarily to hang out in LA as Trump's political pawns? I don't fully understand the national guard, and am curious about this...

Healthcare costs more so that insurance, pharma, and healthcare execs can make $$Millions$$. Housing costs more so that real estate investors can make $$Millions$$. The system benefits the uber-wealthy and NOT the laborers. And we won't tax the wealthy to improve our communities. "austerity"
