I have attempted to watch MSNBC 2-3 times today, but since around mid-afternoon, all they have is Kirk's service. Last I looked, it was Vance, and I assume the rambling old man will be next. If only every innocent who's been slaughtered in schools got the same air time for their funerals :(

Watching a bit of the military parade at Windsor. As usual, the toddler from the WH looks bored, sleepy, and uncomfortable while Melania wears a large hat and has her typical "poker face." It's a grey and windy day & that might account for DJT being extra uncomfortable because of his hair.

When I'm furious at our rapidly disappearing democracy, I watch action movies. Yesterday, I watched "Heads of State" and later that night, I watched "Independence Day." Comparing those to what we are experiencing in the USA, the ending of both had me in tears.

I recall learning in a college history class about how Hitler took control of the courts. The same is happening here with the "conservatives" on the SCOTUS and other federal courts. They, too, are destroying our democracy. I have to stay informed, but each day things get worse :(
