Vacuum or dust mop floors more frequently
Reduce clothes washing frequency
Do not store/heat food in plastic
Avoid drinking from plastic bottles and containers
Use reusable water containers (metal)
Avoid plastic food packaging

Why is Michigan Governor so popular; she does not support shutting down Line 5 anymore, lost the state presidential election and lost the state house. No wonder Michigan is having problems keeping its population.

#microplastics the International Joint Commission (US and Canada) has developed methodologies for microplastics sample collection, testing and risk evaluation for the Great Lake. There need to be a coordinated monitoring effort in the Great lakes. Check it out visit www.michiganmicroplastics.org

#microplastics avoid getting hung up on the ingesting 5 grams of plastic/credit card; this is only a high estimate. the point is that we ingest too much plastic via water, food and air and we need to be knowledgeable and concerned. Stop promoting plastics, visit www.michiganmicroplastics.org

microplastics# microfibers are the #1 form of microplastics in the Great Lakes that come from washing machines. We selected more natural fibers in our clothes (wool, cotton, silk) and avoid synthetics; also avoid fast fashion clothes.

do you know that sludge from wastewater treatment plants contain microplastics and PFAS and are placed on agricultural fields to raise crops? These pollutants can erode off of ag fields and into stream/lakes and groundwater. These sources can be controlled to protect water quality and food.
