First there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is.
It has been described to me as the cover of a lost Everything But The Girl album. Two young bohemians, myself and the future mrs mmch. Model’s full head of hair no longer available.

The soundtrack to the outdoor work continues. If the first album is a pencil sketch, they bring out the full box of oil paints for this one. Also, being unafraid to be thought preposterous is a useful tool for any artist.

It’s like the dress rehearsal for the apocalypse outside, but it is Friday, so coffee and cake time. Playing the classics this morning, with the lemon drizzle/Americano combo.

I love Keith Jarrett. Don’t mind the vocal noises, I tend to think it is the sound of someone really wrestling the music into shape. If you don’t know this album, can I give it a strong recommendation

Now playing. Following the recommendation of @dannykelly.bsky.social last night. Chose this at at random, as I don’t know the artist and I have to say, it’s superb. Veering from very dancy, joyous pieces to widescreen European melancholia. A new favourite. Thank you.

Here’s a possible Halloween contender. I don’t know if this was done with AI, I hope it wasn’t, but I’ve had it on my phone for a few years.

Vagabonds was the first Lizzy album with a sleeve design by noted Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick, who worked on a number of their albums. Here’s some examples of his Irish mythology inspired work. As I mentioned before, he’s my Aunt Penny’s next door neighbour!

I have the original of this on CD, somewhere in the archives. Enjoying this extended version as I lurk in the kitchen, trying not to disturb my wife’s book club.

I’ve reached the welcoming shores of Friday. Bit of a portentous album title, but you can practically lean up against the bass lines.Have a good one , everybody.
