Unfortunately this is exactly what colonial powers and dictatorships around the world have done in the past. It is only a small step from what they are doing now.

Good article but goes beyond that. For most families it is not that they won’t be able to buy a second car. It is more that they won’t be able to replace their old run-down, inefficient car. That will lead to higher gas costs, lost days of work when the car breaks, and the associated repair costs.

So the plan is to wait for the SCOTUS conservative supermajority to tell Trump that he must stop defying the courts, at which point the public will rise, and only then the DEM in congress will do something? Until that miracle happens @schumer.senate.gov can keep doing his book tour, I guess…

All true but only the tip of the iceberg. DOGE is dismantling the entire federal government. Free speech on campus and outside is suppressed. Actions against immigrants violate due process and habeas corpus. The country is descending into autocracy. What are congressional dems doing about it?

I got sick (as when you start yo have the flu) for a couple of days (second dose worse) but infinitely better than shingles itself. My mom got it in her eighties and almost lost sight from one eye, complained of excruciating pain for more than a month, needed surgery to recover use of one eyelid…

This is what I thought would happen in Venezuela (I have family there). Once the leader is dead, the cult will come down crashing. It didn’t happen… at some point the criminal system became so entrenched that even a goon without charisma like Maduro could hold on to power.
