Some concept art with watercolor for latest AlphaCore #worldbuilding video about how the floating sky structures ideas evolved. I mostly like how the piece turned out, certainly won't be looking for a new career, but using watercolor allowed me to be more "abstractie".

One of the things I love about #worldbuilding is the excuse to go down rabbit holes you find super cool in support of your world...ie...Google searching for "fictional star maps"...there are some really bad ass maps available for inspiration!!

I've been trying to figure out how to make floating sky island "possible", still not fully there yet, but it lead me to asking "what is it about warmer air that makes it 'rise'". And found out that there's also the displacement by the colder, more dense air moving toward the earth.
