It’s likely a HIP based contract. HIP is in effect as the PA’s grievance proceeds. Based on Burke’s comments in various podcasts, if HIP is overturned it’ll be on the league to figure out how to manage any contracts that were signed. And players can sign now, as long as HIP payment begins in July
