It's a necessary evil though.
One of the things I love about deltarune is that you can re-play chapters from where ever you want!

One of the things I love about deltarune is that you can re-play chapters from where ever you want!

Since you no longer aren't limited to A save, you can have your happy ending, while getting to cause all the chaos in another timeline.
Thus it feels less committal than undertale's no mercy route.
Like I could not restart my undertale save even out of curiosity, but i can do the weird route
