Was this ever finalized? I heard they were trying to get it done a few weeks ago but never saw anything official.

It’s a great move for Cucho. This gets him on a more visible and “respectable” level for the national team. (MLS bias still exists). And with the World Cup next year, he’s good enough that we could see him make the squad.

Great question, he is listed as a forward by Cincinnati. However, he played wingback in 30 of the 36 games that he played for FC Cincinnati last year. And as far as I know, there has been no announced plan to change that. #fcci #lucaorellano

Thanks Dave! Yes I agree, Palencia is serially underrated. I'm a fan, but he was probably underrated by me too even until I started digging into some of the more advanced metrics.

This is interesting. I was hoping he’d get a fair shake as the #10. Their slow possession style would be pretty perfect for him to get a run as the main playmaker. But man, about as seamless a drop in for HH as you could hope for.

Man this makes a lot of sense. McGlynn fills in perfectly for HH and the slow possession based team. Hopefully he gets to play as a 10 now. And it helps Philly as McGlynn didn’t fit their style that they’re going all in on.

Reason 4,386 why Andre Zanotta should not still be at the helm of this sinking ship.
