Not so much an influence in taste, but my dad influenced how I listened to music. We’d try to identify every instrument in a song. I still listen to music that way, listening for bass lines and drumming styles, dissecting brass/horn/string orchestrations, listening for crescendos/decrescendos etc.

I’m fine with just calling him Trump.
See, my grandparents used “trump” as a euphemism for flatulence, so hot swamp air from an asshole seems appropriate.
