I mean I'm not a member of the trans community so it's not my place to really judge how it might impact that community or what someone who is a member of the community might feel about her choice to comply.

yes, but my point was maybe her response is sort of: "okay, you asked for it, hope all you men enjoy sharing a bathroom with a woman" because I think we all know the biggest snowflakes on Capitol Hill are the Republican men.

yeah, but it's more subtle than that. It's like the people who obtusely refuse to understand threaded conversations with multiple people and get offended by something said in response to someone else. so it's like this low level toxic clown show but not abusive, you know?

Malicious compliance is just anytime someone complies completely knowing there will be unintended consequences as a result of the demand for compliance. Not a member of the community so not my place to defend or criticize. Was just an observation.

but it also involved pop culture references, comfort (or discomfort) with certain topics, among other things. Democrats have a definite "culture" and even worse we have "cultural ignorance" problem, mostly because there's not a recognition of the "sameness" of the culture across the group.
