I thought I saw a pileated woodpecker out my window, but when I went to photograph it, it turned out to be a red-bellied woodpecker. #birdsky

Just came from the release of this guy, a little over a month after his rescue. Bittersweet, mostly sweet to see him fly off into the night. Hope he lives a long life, wild and free.
