I was frustrated a few years ago when BoM closed down the La Trobe St station after 106 years of continuous operation

The rules set by the World Meteorological Org (WMO) mean they try to avoid any urban effects in observations. But that's where a lot of us live!

Yep, we would love to get more "local" but are limited to locations with a good long term record (we use ACORN-SAT from BoM: www.bom.gov.au/climate/data...). But if you have any suggestions for additional locations, send us a message and we can include them if they are in ACORN-SAT.
