As someone who lives in metro Atlanta and has family in her district, she’s totally only doing this because she has plans for higher statewide office and is deeply unpopular outside her district. She’s basically try to rebrand as more normal ahead of something like a senate race

Polls are just that, polls. A “what if” scenario. If Sanders had won the nomination in 2016 the GOP would have plastered the word socialist all over the general campaign and he would have gotten even less votes than she did. Not to mention his support among black women was nowhere near hers
