The way the light & shadow values fall, I had to zoom in to confirm it was a photo. At first glance, I thought it was a James Silke illustration.

It should also be highlighted that the connecting covers by Álvaro Martínez are a fabulous homage to Brian Bolland's Winter's Edge 1 (1998) wraparound cover, but even wider!

Your annoyance is justified. People like to look at Wizard thru the lens of nostalgia but they were truly horrible.

Physical media, my friends. I've only ever watched Justified on live broadcast and from shiny discs in that apparently archaic machine under my TV.
