Suffering for your art.
A real treat of a day supporting the Mayor of the East Midlands. We toured the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage sites including Cromford, Belper and here at Darley Abbey. However, I still can’t feel my frozen toes.

Yes. But. It’s secondary to culture, funding, governance, the weight of history and more.
There is a lack of geographical alignment between Mayoral Combined Authorities and Integrated Care Systems in England.

This misalignment is identified as a key barrier for realising preventative health at the regional level. It makes it harder for MCAs to collaborate with the NHS.

Our theme, "Place shaping and leading as a Chief Exec in contested spaces" sparked two days of rich dialogue and reflection. 🙌

And keep your eyes open please - with the support of #LondonCouncils (programme founder), we are preparing to launch (October) a national programme, but one that is then regionally delivered, focused and tailored, so that many more executive and corporate directors can participate and benefit.
