“It’s on every cis person in this country to fiercely have trans people’s backs in every macro and micro way, now and always.”
“One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.” -Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

And it’s on every cis person in this country to fiercely have trans people’s backs in every macro and micro way, now and always. In the bathroom & in the streets. When they’re present or not. Everywhere.
Spoke to ABC about Nancy Mace’s bathroom bigotry on the Hill.

When we’re talking about discrimination, some rules need to be broken.

Trans folks aren't the threat; we’re under threat.

How do you face fascism? I like Orwell's version: ground yourself in direct and immediate experience, trust your senses, find some joy, turn back to face the fascists and tell truths to combat the lies.

Was there today for the H.R. 9495 vote (bill that would have allowed labeling nonprofits as terrorist supporting organizations).

Voted no, of course - but I do want to report that the activism DID work and persuaded members.

I thought it’d be a lonely NO vote, which we take often. It wasn’t.
