Playing: Ys X: Nordics
One of the greatest games ever made. Unironically. The dungeons were all incredible. Absolutely loved the party members & supporting cast. OST is phenomenal, & the story was fantastic.
Utter masterpiece of narrative & game design.
Now, onto Ys X: Nordics.

This was very good edutainment. MC was annoying. Though the rest of the characters were great.
I would like to see more anime edutainment go do more lower division level university science. One focused on o-chem would be interesting.

The definition of harem romcom slop.
That said, I watched it because I'm the pig that'll gladly eat it up from the trough lmao.

This was fun. I like the Quints, Amagami, etc. romcom formula, and I enjoyed this. Liked the characters and the chemistry between them. I enjoyed seeing Yuu push the three girls further and grow as characters.
Dub was really good too.

First up, New Saga.
Worst of the season. The story was very meh. The one aspect I do not understand was the decision to have smooth jazz as the background music in scenes. It actively distracts you from the scene. Baffling.

This was overall good, but i’d say a 1/4 to 1/3 of the segments didn’t land. Some of the segments were great, like Kanshi’s perception of time being changed, while others kinda bad, such as Moi’s jeans hyperfixation.
But that’s comedy for ya.

This was unremarkably average.

Everything from the characters, their chemistry and dialogue with each other, their arcs throughout the series. All of it was top notch.
The dub was particularly very good
Highly recommend.

First one I finished was Call of the Night Season 2.
This was good. I particularly like the exploration of Nazuna’s past and her relationship with the Detective.
OP is a definite highlight of the season.

Level design & gunplay were great.
Story? Eh, pedestrian. Like most modern warfare stories, the devs need to go to comically absurd lengths to create a force with the same level of force projection and strength of the U.S. military.
Tank mission was fun tho.
