Imagine a square decorative piece hanging on a wall. It's divided into nine smaller equal squares arranged in a three-by-three grid. The top row has three squares. The leftmost square is a warm, medium brown wood color with a strip of dark reddish-brown lace running horizontally across it , he middle square is a rich purple with a delicate cream-colored lace strip across the center and the rightmost square is a vibrant red with a lavender lace strip in the middle. These squares are randomly repeated to make up all but one of the nine. In the middle row, the leftmost square is purple and features a small, textured flower or rosette attached to its center-left. The flower appears to be made of a metallic gold or bronze material with multiple overlapping petals or leaves. The piece has a thin black border framing the outer edges of the large square. The surface of the wooden squares likely has a natural grain texture. The lace strips add a tactile element with their delicate patterns and slightly raised texture. The flower on the middle-left purple square provides a more significant three-dimensional texture.

Part of my #MixedMedia collection, all on varied canvas sizes. Painted wood, various material swatches, jewelry, beads, buttons and acrylic paints have been used. These are a big part of my happy. I loved making each one!

One of my most favorite crafts. It's been a few years but I made a couple dozen or so. Should I do it again? I think I'm feeling it. #mixedmedia
Imagine a ball about the size of a tennis ball. It's made of many small, folded pieces of fabric, creating a patchwork effect.The main colors are a light blue-green, a coral-peach, and a soft green, all with subtle patterns. The fabric pieces are arranged to form a star-like design on the surface of the ball. In the very center of the star, there's a small, round, white bead, like a tiny pearl. Around the top of the ornament, a loop of wide, pale yellow ribbon is tied in a simple bow, ready for hanging.

Dominant colors are warm tones of yellow and orange in the lower half of this square canvas, transitioning into cooler tones of green and blue in upper half. Swirled strokes that blend the colors, particularly in the center of the canvas where the warm and cool tones meet. This creates a hazy, atmospheric effect. When I first joined this amazing platform, it was a culture shock—so many new norms and ways to interact! I learned the hard way that there’s a lot of respect here, manners even. There’s no algo here. #’s sort things into feeds, each with its community, norms, moderators, and admins—kinda like groups on Meta. It’s so refreshing not having to remember 30 different hashtags. Posts can get amazing reach with only a couple tags, but using them willy-nilly tends to land posts in strange places they weren’t meant for lol. Not sure what a tag is for? Ask around, we don’t bite unless that’s your thing. You can also click on the tag and just scroll for a bit; it’s pretty easy to trace a tag back to its feed. Thank the universe, the days of needing to add 30 tags to a post are over. Phew. Xoxo The background is decorated with small, colorful confetti pieces and streamers, giving the image a celebratory and inviting feel.
