Enjoying the view.

It takes much longer to get up north the slow way.
This is what happens when you let AI write for a newspaper. It will regurgitate a story from 1971.

Doesn't really matter a whole lot. Hard to imagine that any proposed legislation can't get another 2 or 3 or more votes from either of the other 3 parties...different support from different parties depending upon the legislation.

We need an occasional adult in the room. He should call it as soon as possible, and likely will.

I'm in PR. Big Poilievre rally a month before election. 2 weeks before very professional cons door knocking identifying vote. Day before election call big con signs up, day of call yard signs (identified by door knockers) everywhere. Next day NDP big signs up, very few yd signs, no door knocking

Also the way the model is reported is really bad. Last poll reported here had Libs at 188 seats...a single number. The range was 153 - 214. LOL quite the range! If range only is reported, people would take these projections with a grain of salt. As they should.

Overall polling was good, but...maybe it's just me... models for seat projections seem to need work. ??

Uninformed. I talked with many here in past 2 weeks who planned to vote Lib to stop Cons. When informed at how low Lib vote share was in past, and vote would help Cons every one switched to NDP. Bad NDP ground game. Good Con ground game. Predictable result.

Has Aaron come out of hiding yet? I thought he must have been golfing in Mexico during the campaign.

Liberals increased their vote share here by over 10%. Talking with people over the past couple of weeks I realized most were totally unaware of how far below the NDP/Con vote the Liberals were. They just wanted Carney/not Con so were voting Liberal. The NDP had a bad ground game, surprisingly.
April 29, 2025 at 4:22 PM
Many I've talked to here don't get that, want Carnie to win but understand you give numbers. CPC and NDP always get around 22--24,000 votes. Liberals 7-8,000 in this riding. The Greens got more than the liberals a couple of elections ago.

Still looks like CPC will flip this to Gunn of all people.
April 20, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Yes. CPC has the best ground game I've seen in 50 years. Poilievre had rally in rural Powell River about a month before election called. Enthusiastic crowd. Door knocking couple of weeks before election announced identifying their supporters. NDP almost invisible. Retiring NDP MP. Sigh...Gunn??

How close were the seat totals, I wonder?
