I am not one to judge lady politicians on their hairstyles, but if there is one thing NOT notable about the former mayor of Chicago, it would be her hair. Or rather, the notable point would be how not beautifully done and not luxurious her hair was

Is it as efficient and entertaining as the "robot" service at the Mini Chef restaurant at Lego House in Billund, Denmark?

Mussolini built Stadio Littoriale (today Renato Dell’Ara) as a symbol of fascist power & victory - with a statue of himself on horseback at the stadium entrance. They replaced his statue with a tower to symbolize resistance from sportsman and women.

Posts range from:
-it's a scam,
-the government is targeting Hispanic names
-it's a DOGE threat
-don't do it this year b/c DOGE will reveal your data
-paper is safer than online
-govn't is targeting 1st gen citizens

Those who normally would complete ACS are hesitant this year. 2/

hahaha! $40Million!
Pre-Project 2025, that's less than NSF spent on international S&E & about how much it spent annually on the economics program. Economics - 1 program in the Social, Behavioral & Economic Sciences directorate, the least funded directorate at the NSF ($290M)!

NSF funding to AZ goes far beyond the walls of universities to create jobs, education opportunities & business ventures. Science investments mean education + jobs (janitorial, HR, supplies, etc). Trump's attacks on universities (via federal spending) will hurt all Arizonans!
May 18, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Trump's cuts to NIH are going to directly affect people all over AZ, not just at universities. NIH funds more than just faculty research & students, it supports clinics, medical professionals, & hospital partnerships (e.g. Banner/UofA, Mayo-ASU) + general economic activities (e.g. med supply chains)

Great news for Europe, but this 2-year budget is about what NSF spends in one year on GEO:Polar Programs alone. It's a drop in the bucket compared to the American research investments Trump has demolished #saveNSF

Political interests "steering the ship" & setting priorities is normal. Cancelling already funded grants and dismantling the federal scientific enterprise is not. 3/

This is step one in a larger agenda to destroy publicly funded and publicly serving science. 2/

The Trump administration is defunding federally funded science, which will dismantle the US scientific enterprise & negatively affect science elsewhere. Nearly everyone but the US Congress knows this & wants it stopped

Censoring mis/disinformation research is just the beginning. All scientific research in the US is under threat. Now is the time for scientists in all fields to act. Some small steps each of us can take:
