I can only support 💯 your thoughts you two.

Simply marvellous.

Like my daily yoga - I cannot not continue doing this with you all. (Or I just can’t stop! 😂)

BTW December 21 2025 was Day 2000 of continuing daily Yoga with Adriene. 🤩

Oh don’t rumble that elephant in the room! 😂

This place is to nice and safe! Hugs! 🙏🤩

Ho! Ho! No!

Don’t mess with Santa or kids. 😂

Yes definitely. I couldn’t place the resentment she appeared to have for her husband and the daughters. Something was a miss it seems.

Sometimes, due to the time difference and the tardis that is our household 😂 - I feel I’m late to the party with the commentary exchange. Sigh. Tis what it is. But I appreciate when I see you guys pop up. And please - challenge me. I’m always curious if I’m off base. 😂 and see things differently.

The line is a real doozy for sure. Summoned up the dynamics within the family between the mom and her daughters.
December 25, 2025 at 2:05 AM
Well, that just shows we can all differ over one story.

Ahh is that what it was doing? I didn’t recognize that at all. I thought it was more along the lines of a burnt out CEO usually female who comes back to her hometown for Christmas. Gets thrown into making some Christmas ornaments, while turning into a business with the lost sweetheart left behind

Wowzer! Surprised you didn’t know he had sisters. It mentioned them early in the story. Ooo I need to be in a book club. 😀

A mess of a story.
Not my cup of tea. 😂

It was a weird choice to end a Stella collection. The preceding 11 stories were captured scenes of dilemma which always seem to occur this time of the year. And very gripping. Such is life. Overall marvellous.

Families are complex. The dynamics between them wildly varying. Competition. Jealousy. Competing love. Manipulation. I had issue with Carolyn.
December 24, 2025 at 9:55 PM
60’s throwback for Josh? Set today I think. Did anyone else have issue with Carolyn? That line @barbaramcveigh.bsky.social in particular. The reference of the comma and Pete reaction? The ‘look’ to get what she wanted. The ‘shared hatred’ with Josh over Christmas.

Ah man.

Such a pity.

This wasn’t for me. At all.

But overall some great stories centring on the human condition. Kevin Wilson was a worthy editor. Hopefully H & O will keep the tradition going. Keep this merry band together. 👍

Which one? There’s was a lot of wisdom in that story.
December 23, 2025 at 8:18 PM
As for the story. It was like a one scene play with jeopardy, drama, a neat ending with a solid life lesson. Marvellous.
December 23, 2025 at 6:29 AM
Make that *work but ‘world in progress’ works as well. Actually better 😂
December 22, 2025 at 7:27 PM
BTW 🙏 So sweet Barbara.

As we say in our program…it’s a world in progress. Not only as a Dad with his son but a Dad who’s an EA with both sons EA’s…makes for interesting takes at the end of the day. Proud of them both.

It certainly resonated with a theme I’ve been having with my youngest son. To take a beat and think of the other point of view why someone did what they did. Isn’t that the human condition? Why we do what we do when we do it.

And yes there’s limits to behaviour. Which seems a universal theme today
