Why is Trump demanding control of Greenland, Panama, and making Canada a state? Nobody thinks this can happen so, as he tries to do with tariffs, he can't use these boasts for leverage or putting pressure on those countries for policy changes. I think he's just testing the limits of his power.

Vought wrote the section of Project 2025 that covers the presidency, calling for “aggressive use of the vast powers of the executive branch” to “bend or break the bureaucracy to the presidential will”.
