Republicans leaning hard into MAGA are finding out the limitations of their popular support. They aren't used to, or prepared for, the pushback.

Probably, but heck, Republicans in the 50's and 60's probably would've advocated for it too.

This is the logical shortcomings of considering government as a business. The US could provide Ukraine with aid funding to support the rebuilding of their economy. Part of that could concentrate on supporting the development of a domestic mineral industry. Attaching it to defense support is cruel.
