There have been a few news stories lately about attorneys finding themselves in trouble for using AI to help them write briefs. This has resulted in attorneys relying on supporting case law that does not in fact exist. I read one article that referred to these as “hallucinated citations.”

I just emailed Sen. Jerry Moran of Kansas to thank him for his brave stance on objecting to the freeze on USAID funding. He recognizes the reality that this puts real people in peril. You know he’s going to get a lot of hate mail. I wanted him to hear a grateful voice.
