I agree! My real question is why is there an earnings limit at all? If you earn $1 million, you pay taxes, but social security is capped.

It seems historically that rates were higher on higher incomes. I get it that there were the same exceptions and conditions that lowered actual rates. It seems in 2026 we will be starting at a lower point...so "fair share" may not being achieved.
