What do they do when there is every indication that the top commander is not in his right mind?
When he say launch missiles, or use lethal force in New York, what do they do?

Remember, that's what "bone spurs" wanted to do to protesters in D.C. in his first term. Fortunately, there was someone to tell him "you can't do that". He is even more unhinged now. And there is no one in the current administration to tell him No!

In a crisis situation you want to have confidence in your commanders, that they are ordering you to do the right thing. You want to give them the benefit of the doubt.
What do they do when troops are deployed to Chicago, or New York and they are told to shoot civilians in the knees or worse?

In a crisis situation you want to have confidence in your commanders, that they are ordering you to do the right thing. You want to give them the benefit of the doubt.

This presents a problem for those military leaders who are now put in the unenviable position of having to determine if an order they receive is legal or illegal.
