I always envied people who could play musical instruments. I could read music a bit, but not proficient. Long story short, I came by a dulcimer made by a family member. A friend heard about it and took me to a meeting of the local dulcimer club. Immediately, I fell in love. Now I can make music.

It sounds like you and your father were close. Losing that special friend who is also a parent can be very painful.
Keep up with the music and your instruments. A few years ago, I started playing the dulcimer. Makes me happy.
