Great article JD. Striking a balance between rewarding recent play/being in mix vs sticking to the rebuild is tough. Evans is the tricky one. Hard working, reliable defensively but offense isn’t sustainable. Don’t want another LT contract we regret, but I’m confident HuGo won’t make that mistake.

Owen Beck, Habs need to know if he is ready to step in a replace Evans or Dvorak next season.

If habs can get good value for Matheson, I’d keep Savard (weak on RD as it is) and sign him to a low-cost one year extension.
