3 people, 8 1/2 (gruelling) hours, but with a break for dinner, to produce 10L of red grape juice and 23L of white for this year's Wagtail Park vintage. We combine our allotment grapes with those from a friend's allotment.

A good haul of berries from the allotment last night. The raspberries are mostly autumn raspberries which we normally get at the end of August! Did they assume April was the summer?

Really enjoyed seeing Anna Erhard at the legendary Joiners in Southampton (joiners.vticket.co.uk). The first date of her UK tour so still time to catch her.

I'm very pleased to report that this year's wine (a rose as we didn't have enough grapes to makes it worth doing a separate white and red) is not only recognisably wine (the target) but, it seems, the equal of shop bought!

Terrible weather this weekend spurred me on to make the Christmas cakes for this year. The hardest part, taking the pips out of 300g of currants, took all of last week!
