we would have to do a legit microclimate study on the area but I will say a lot of outside stone monumentality has good resilience to climate changes, since it's not changed in its inherent macro climate. However, you are right that too much tourism can be awful for conservation of stone and wood

Honestly, one of my favourite things about vernacular buildings is their use of common things as a solution for things that we now need more tech for. Pesticide/Fungicide? Damp proofing? Not needed because the Lime wash is a natural fungicide and stops the majority of mold and damp from getting in!

Learning things like climate projections, maintenance, and architecture has been the secret joy of my PhD. Before I had written my masters on landscape archaeology of some viking features in Ireland. Now I am learning how to make and interpret climate projections that I helped make!
