A majority of Americans support mandatory retirement ages, term limits, and popular elections for justices (though my term limits wording isn't exactly the Biden proposal). A majority of Dems also support court packing, though no proposal has the support of a majority of Republicans. 4/5

A minority--46%--of Americans say that the Court's ethical practices are excellent or good. Republicans approve of the Court's ethical practices at about the same rate as Democrats approve of Biden's. 3/5

In July, I asked respondents "How would you rate the ethical practices of the following parts of government“ Overall , 40% of Americans say the Court’s ethical practices are “Good” or “Excellent.” That’s higher than Congress (20%), on par with Biden (38%) and less than the military (53%).
