I had a blast drawing this expression sheet for my main character, Jade. It feels like it’s been so long since I had fun. One of my close friends told me “Don’t stress and have fun. Remember, it’s your passion not your job.” I’ve been drawing for hours and hours since. Much appreciated bro.

Ayyy. I drew something finally. We’re back. Still rusty. But we’re back.

I made this back in 2018 and absolutely hated it at the time. Now? That’s crazy to believe. I love this piece. It’s so good for someone that had been inking for only a year. Goes to show the importance of mental health in the art journey. From a project I’ve been working on, Jade the Dreamweaver.

I do, however, miss making art that isn’t for my stories or fan art. Just making art for art’s sake. I just want to make something pretty again. Well here’s to this one. It’s gonna be weird.

I don’t oil paint anymore. I realized a while back that the only reason I did it was because I was forced to back in college because “anime isn’t real art” (They know who they are.) To be honest, I don’t miss it anymore.
