Fantastic interview with @anavaldi.bsky.social pointing out the risks of facial recognition. But, lo and behold, the caption is very misleading. Gracias Ana por hablar sobre este tema tan importante para quienes migramos a UK.

Fantastic event last night with @couldrynick.bsky.social and Baroness Kidron. A genuine exchange of ideas and concerns around policy and the core issues involved in tackling Big Tech’s business model. A sliver of hope.

CW: spider!
Lovely to encounter the same garden spider one week later. Her web looks so elaborate now.

So. I bought this game for the lolz but it’s somehow amazing, subversive, unapologetically anti-AI-taking-our-jobs and it was made by the host of @machine-ethics.net, @benbyford.com?!

I’m obsessed.

After being forced to live off a whitewashed diet growing up, I’m teaching myself to make traditional Peruvian homemade meals. This is Matasquita from my hometown.

That indescribable feeling of being in one of the biggest museums in the world and seeing the art of someone who grew up in the same city as you. Nereida Apaza Mamani, we share the same cursive handwriting style from our school days. #ArtSky

Attended a fantastic talk today by @evanselinger.bsky.social on making AI a bit less human but a lot more honest. Also a masterclass in making complex topics accessible to a wider audience.

Looking forward to the next events at King’s Festival of Artificial Intelligence.

Moving houses, no matter how smoothly it goes, is always a bit of a traumatic experience. I try to hold on to a few items that remind me that home can be anywhere.
