I replayed NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona recently for the first time since my teen years, and actually beat the career mode again! I don’t care about cars or nascar, but something about that games blend of arcade and simulation, man. I’ve always loved that game.

My #1 fear was the film Child’s Play as a child. Once, I was watching my stepdads VHS recording of a Three Stooges marathon, when suddenly there was an ad for Child’s Play in the commercials like an hour in. I’ve not felt such emotional whiplash since, Jesus. Scared the pants offa me!

I replayed Conker for the first time in like 20 years the other month, and I was surprised at how much of the game was just Pushing Something. The script is still burned into my brain from my teen years, but playing it??! Kinda sucks lol

I’ve never felt that I was losing anything playing RE2 that way, and i still love booting it up every couple of years. I guess the “standard” play style doesn’t interest me, but I like the game otherwise enough that I’ll play through the whole thing unable to die but still having a great time

I still haven’t quite crystallized my thoughts on my preferred game difficulty. On the one hand, VVVVVV is a top 5 all time game for me, one that I’ve 100%d a few times even though it really busts my chops. OTOH, I only replay the n64 version of Resident Evil 2 so I can use invincibility cheats.
