No such requirement in the legislature. They just switch around all the time, which NPs don't do (without supervision). That's why I don't support the bill.

I agree to some extent. My issue: I personally know some PAs who changed from "psychiatry" to "cardiology" overnight. There should be some requirement for education and experience.

Agreed. As a "human doctor", I incurred more debt, but a better income. I testified back in the early 1990s to allow ANPs more autonomy, because I care more about patients than turf. I have to believe that most veterinarians feel the same.

We have a serious shortage of veterinarians. The serious shortage of physicians was addressed by licensing ANPs and PAs to "fill the need". Why isn't Alaska creating a "midlevel" veterinary professional category akin to ANP or PA in human medicine?

Cost Plus is a great idea, but shipping charges to Alaska render it far more expensive than local pharmacies.
