To be frank, I'm completely off the show after a promo with Tom saying “I own a house. YOU never will”. It's actually disgusting and a 'let them eat cake' moment. It's meant to be edgey, but it isn't funny at all

Well, somewhat analogous to Godwin's law if you bring up the CIA in an everyday conversation

I wish there was a shorthand way to refer to this without it coming across as unduly paranoid or it seeming like an example of Godwin's law. It could be a really good circuit breaker if it weren't originally coming from the OSS/CIA

He's kinda gone way off reservation in the last year. Is it his year of capitulation?

Minns hides his conservatism behind his surfer facade. And it is just a facade.

My 8 and 11 y.o. kids have out of nowhere both created a school D&D group. Any tips for them on how they can keep it going as the dungeon master seeing kids don't always have the biggest attention span?

Despite denials, AUKUS is all about the path to Australia getting nukes, no doubt in my mind

I think the upshot of all this is that we are able to gain a certain level of moral clarity that could last for decades as it did after the last world war. Hopefully it doesn't take one of those to get the clarity

Probably best not to keep talking about average when the split between the top and bottom keeps getting bigger. Those at the bottom don't care if the average is getting higher, they are struggling. They are getting angrier.
