"The slowest EV9 does not go the farthest, and the quickest doesn’t pay as much of a penalty in range as you might expect. That said, none of the EV9 trims have outstanding range, and some are on the low side compared to competitors." cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/...

"In a vacuum, the ID.4 is a good EV. The trouble is that it has more than a dozen rivals, and many of them have higher-end interiors, more cargo capacity, better performance or longer driving ranges. Some beat the ID.4 in every category."

"The RX inspires respect but not passion. It also seems a size too large, and, though it suffers from the same deficiencies of driving fun and cargo space, the smaller Lexus NX Hybrid strikes me as a better choice."

"Open the door and step in, and all expectations are upended. There is no traditional instrument display. Instead, a curved 48-inch display divided into fourths runs across the bottom of the windshield."

"Since its 2023 redesign, the Prius is peppy and sleek. Acceleration is decent (0 to 60 takes 7.2 seconds), the ride is comfortable, and the handling borders on fun."

True story, Alex: My first TV station (KTVN, Reno, 1981) had a Suburban for a live truck. You're probably asking if it was a GMC or a Chevy Suburban. The answer is yes. The badges and hubcaps on the driver's side were Chevy. On the passenger side, GMC. The grille badge was GMC. On the tail-Chevy.

Since it doesn't appear it's been asked yet, @padilla.senate.gov ---please finish the sentence you began about "half a dozen violent criminals you're rotating onto...". That sounds like something the public needs to be aware of. Glad you're safe, sir.

Took these shots yesterday of the 2025 VW ID.BUZZ I'm in this week. Review will post in February at the Los Altos Town Crier/losaltosonline. $71,000 before tax & license. Imagine how many VW could sell if it was a hybrid priced at $49,999.

Had its twin (license plate one digit off--"E18 SRF")two weeks ago. The light has to hit it just right for my eyes to see any green there, but still a nice shade and a nice car.

Day three and no responses to my question of day two: "Is anybody doing anything differently on Bluesky than they did on X?" Clean sheets of paper are sometimes the hardest part.

I loved PSA in the 70s. Flights every half hour 6 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays between L.A. and San Francisco. Every hour during the day between San Diego and Oakland. Every 90, 120 or 180 minutes to damn near anyplace else. 15 bucks LAX to SFO. Okay, so that's $99 adjusted. Still.

Day two on Bluesky and now we figure out direction. I used X/Twitter to drive attention to my car reviews, and while there's value in that for car buyers and for me, this seems like too clean a sheet to just default back to that. Are any of you doing anything differently here from previous socials?
