Sunny June goes to Conor, who is his personal comfort character anyway. His cozy study room is like a safe hideout. It can keep the outer and inner storm away from Sunny June's mind enough to be able to discuss difficult topics with someone he trusts, even in times when he is tired and exhausted.

Dear @maihime.bsky.social, I hope you can see your Lu in my attempt. I feel as if I "know" him so well through your posts, and I tried to catch his nature, but it was not easy. Also, Lu is impossible to imagine without Alex, so I sent him to a fun fair to get a little Alex teddy.

In Spotlights and Poison, idol Sunny June gets exploited by a boss who was supposed to be a parental figure but failed him. How can he escape his situation? His best friend Conor might have an idea...
The main cast ist mostly queer, among them protagonist Sunny June who is asexual and greyromantic.
Page of the comic. It shows Sunny June sitting on a couch with Conor standing next to him. Conor says: Maybe. However, let's assume that there is indeed a biological child out there somewhere: what would speak against turning it into a star? Next page. Conor continues: This should give your father a new talent to grind down. Nice. Sunny June looks sceptical and sighs while saying: This sounds pretty much like the opposite of "nice". Conor replies: Hey, I'm just saying. If we have to get blood on our hands, we better make sure it's not our own. Nex page. Sunny June looks strict while saying: We won't throw anyone under the bus. Conor replies: Fine. while looking as if sulking. Then he looks as if he came up with a new idea. He says: Well. Maybe it's enough if the child shares soome of the burden with you? Next page. Conor continues: All ethical with work-life balance and stuff. Sunny June replies: Sounds better. But it's just a rumr anyway. He gestures as if the idea won't help him. Conor looks serious and replies: Hope dies last.

My comic "Spotlights and Poison" tells the story of Sunny June, a burnt out idol trying to escape his situation. Prepare for drama in the music industry sprinkled with romance & thriller and with a mostly lgbtqia+ cast (Sunny June is ace and aro-spec)!

He is surrounded by hands that appear to reach out to him in order to grab him. A page of the webcomic's prologue chapter. It shows Sunny June as he enters the stage. He is mirrored at the bottom of the page into something that looks like water with water bubbles and sihouettes of fishes surrounding him. The text of his inner monologue reads: "This moment between the hustle and bustle of the backstage area and the magic of the spotlights always makes me realize: This is my ocean." These words indicates that he feels that going on stage is what he is most used to and thus feels most natural to him. A page of chapter 1 of the webcomic. Sunny June is in company of the PR manager of his band. Sunny June looks tired while he says: "I expected a lot of public interest. And yet, the mass of journalists at the entrance to Music City (which is the areal of the record label) even exceeded my expectations." Denise replies: "Yeah, they surely delayed our arrival." She points at the sweets Sunny June received as a gift from his band mate Barry. Denise continues: "Hey, maybe you should eat one of these, you're looking pale." Sunny June does as she suggested and puts a pink macaron into his mouth. With the sweet treat still in his mouth, he turns to Denise, silently indicating that she may have one. But Denise waves her hand and says: "No, thanks." On the last panel, Sunny June holds the macaron with a little bite mark on it as if making a pause before taking another bite. He smiles in a brave way while looking nervous. He says: "As soon as I get through the meeting with the boss, I'll probably feel much better." A page from chapter 2 of the webcomic. Sunny June is with his band mate Conor. Conor says with a serious face: "I'm sorry you think you have to pull yourself together for the sake of others all the time. You really don't deserve this, dude." On the next panel is Sunny June lying down holding his face while a bag of chips sneaks in from one side of the panel. "Chips?", Conor asks, causing a weird atmosphere. Sunny June doesn't seem to perceive the weirdness of offering chips while having a serious talk about mental health issues. Instead, he reaches into the bag of chips while rubbing his forehead in exhaustion. He sighs and says: "It would be best if I could pull myself together even longer."

He/him. Birthday: June 11th, age 21. Personality Type ENFP-A. Height: 177 cm / 5.81 ft. Ethnic background: Swedish-Japanese. Pride Flag Representation: Asexual and Greyromantic. Skills and assets: creative and keen mind, kind-hearted, can get along with anyone, attentive, patient, can adapt to new environments quickly. Weaknesses and flaws: struggles setting boundaries, fear of loss and abandonment, doesn't know how to adult, oftentimes unaware of his entitlements, strong reliance on the good intentions of others. Character color: purple. Mini-icon that represents him: Fish. Core nature attributes: night owl, optimist, silly. Loves: gaming, team and ball sports, comics, memes, making music, performing with the band. Hates: animal products (he's vegan), getting dragged into fights and drama, solo interviews, being infantilized. The sheed shows Sunny June both in casual clothes as well as in his stage outfit.
