Decided I am going to make an apple pie to also bring Thursday. So today I will make the pie crust to hang out in the fridge till tomorrow. Silver Palette has an Apple of Her Eye pie recipe that is my go to. I use tapioca to tame the juices. Got my Granny Smith apples yesterday!

Watched the Wynona Ryder version of Little Women movie last night. Always watch as one of the first holiday movies. It is so lush and beautifully filmed. I highly recommend.

Good Monday morning #NMRollCall The countdown is in full swing. One of the best things about Thanksgiving is that it is purely American. In almost every celebration iconic foods are served. First the Macy's parade. Then the turkey feast. Later football with pie. Get our your pilgrim hats.

Almost Christmas movie time. Watched Miracle on 34th Street last night. The original one. Since it begins on Thanksgiving it's not too soon. Been to the parade a few times. Went alone my last Thanksgiving before moving here. Nice family "adopted" me and made me welcome.

And yes, I do have a turkey in my freezer for after Thanksgiving. If you want to freeze one Lowe's/Fiesta foods has $10 off on Saturday and Sunday and the Honeysuckle turkey is $.78/lb.

Started the Netflix series about President Garfield. Great actors and I am hooked.
