Don’t get me started on what herculean effort would be involved to standardize across the EU. Back when we did the project, stakeholders on client’s lobbying operation mentioned a decade+ of lobbying if client were to pursue a play.

It’s not even that, strictly, but which and who of the public. So many different stakeholders with different rights and different procurement procedures.
Even in Berlin, traffic lights are supplied by two competing industry giants, as the boroughs run procurement, and you need access there for V2I.

The biggest question wasn’t though whether it’s technically feasibly (can be done), but who pays for it and hence drives standardization. No clear answer on this yet, unfortunately, as traffic infrastructure - esp. the public payer part - is an unmitigated mess.

Gehe ich nicht mit. a) löst das Problem nicht, und b) ist politisch nicht machbar. Außerdem verkürzt es den Lösungsraum unzulässig. Was ist z.B. mit c) Verwaltungsreform?

Wenn’s um’s Geld geht ist hier Scholz oder Lindner aber halt der falsche Ansprechpartner. Bis auf wenige Ausnahmen sind diese Themen Ländersache. Und die Länder meckern ja jetzt schon wg. Flüchtlingsunterbringung und Deutschlandticket.
