Did he not say we were getting domestic humanoids this year? A lot of people who created hype are currently warning against it.

I remember you from Earth's sane era.

Its not true though. LLMs are about as good as they will ever be.

The difference between the promise/threat of AI and its actual capability is a chasm. What irritates me is the rampant boosterism in mainstream media that refuses to acknowledge said chasm.
December 19, 2025 at 10:40 AM
More uncritical boosterist dogshit from The Guardian. Pathetic journalism.

As though the average crazed AI tech bro does?
December 17, 2025 at 6:08 PM
"I agree with everything you say about AI and LLMs" how about an episode that pointlessly contradicts every word of it?

I wonder if sometimes he might just say certain things that could influence the value of his Google retirement shares.
December 13, 2025 at 1:19 AM
Pure honking shite.
December 9, 2025 at 6:44 PM
Is it plausible?
December 9, 2025 at 1:42 AM
I am both surprised and saddened by Bernie's credulity.
December 5, 2025 at 6:50 PM
AI in general makes me cringe.
December 5, 2025 at 10:46 AM
Anyway, I am currently in a slow but methodical process of permanently boycotting all big tech on every device and for every purpose. Their AI narrative says I am insignificant and replaceable, and so my wallet will forever call their bluff. Fuck em, with a big jaggy stick.
December 5, 2025 at 5:02 AM
I had convinced myself that Tech was just better at serving other people's needs than mine; that my frustration was due to my being an old stick in mud. When actually serving needs just wasn't their intention at all, whoever you were.
December 5, 2025 at 4:58 AM
This is my experience of tech in a nutshell. It has taken the GenAI push for me to even realise that I had become a captive of Big Tech; where tools that used to empower (for me it feels like up to around 2012) now do the opposite. Wherein my productivity is worth so much less than my attention.

11.7% Skills overlap, not jobs.
December 3, 2025 at 11:50 AM
Not even what the report says.
December 3, 2025 at 11:49 AM
MIT researchers say no such thing.
December 3, 2025 at 11:47 AM
No, but your coverage of it might be.
December 2, 2025 at 1:57 PM
Ah ffs.
December 1, 2025 at 12:53 PM
This getting absolutely ridiculous. Its been 3 years of uncritical, hype driven bullshit. If the media would actually scrutinise this stuff rather than take snakeoil flogging CEOs at their word we could see some perspective.
