particularly fiction that includes the topic of rape only to portray it as something titillating and basically eroticize that trauma. like genuinely in this society, that kind of fiction *does* have impact and is more harmful because of social context but "why cant we just enjoy things" i guess!

yall people act like rape isnt often a tool of oppressive violence against marginalized groups and actively reinforces oppressive structures. as if rape culture, a set of harmful beliefs about rape & consent in general, isnt rampant in society, ingrained in it, and can't be reinforced by fiction
