It’s so awful but my first thoughts were also “is this a false flag?” And “how will this be used to justify increased police powers?”. It must have been terrifying for everyone on that beach and there are conflicting reports on injuries or deaths. I’m grateful they were captured so quickly

So much of their identity is wrapped up in this “label” without actually scrutinising what that stands for. They think their activism begins and ends with identifying as a “liberal”, like that somehow is enough to make them a good person. I’m so tired of their BS
