Only when this beautiful example crossed my path, at a distance of about 50 metres, did I realise that I hadn't seen many photos of pheasants here on Bluesky recently, so here we go:

What particularly appealed to me in this view today was that the frost only remained on one type of plant.
One hour later the ice and frost here had completely melted.
In the background of this photo are a number of bushes and partially intertwined brambles, some still with green leaves in the middle of winter. In the foreground are several upright plants whose leafy and flowery tips are covered in white frost, adding to the already pleasant range of colours.
