As a Dane and former resident of Greenland this really warms my heart 🇩🇰❤️🇬🇱

I know this dispute has been settled and a border line drawn but this is a brilliant example of how you fight over territory with your friends ☺️

We would have let US place oh so many missile and surveillance systems in Greenland if only they promised to help the country a bit economically and cleaned up their own mess. Don’t try to bully or buy Greenland or Denmark or Europe!

If so many minerals were readily accessible in Greenland believe me my colonist forefathers would have already blown the country to pieces. I get that Greenland has an important geopolitical and security position, but perhaps - I don’t know - ask nicely?

Right?! I can’t believe that they (Trump/Musk) don’t see that no world leader respects their characters. They respect the strength of the US military, but nobody respects the SCROTUS and his sidekick

The major problem is the tech. It’s really difficult to avoid American tech products and services. But definitely there’s a general trend in Europe to switch away from American products. Hopefully the planet will be the winner of the trade war with less goods being shipped across the Atlantic

Don’t get me wrong. It saddens me to see a gap growing between USA and Europe. I hope we can rebuild a political consensus in 4 years. I don’t think the European leaders have much hope to be able to make reasonable politics as long as tRump is in charge.

Ukraine has the full support of the majority of the EU countries already. Without any need to provide anything in terms of “paying back”. I’m repulsed that USA (Trump) would even ask for an economic return on their “investment” in supporting a sovereign state being attacked.

To be honest, I’d rather US left NATO than the rest of us having to not know if we can count on them to back us. The uncertainty is almost worse than the prospect of them leaving.

Europe already did. Did Trump and Elon seriously think that the rest of the world wouldn’t respond to their right wing politics? We can boycott American goods just as easily as US can boycott ours
